SMS terms and conditions.

These terms cover the text messaging program run by the Law Office of Ryan Rouz, a d/b/a of Expungement360, PLLC. They sit alongside our Privacy Policy.

What the program is

We use text messages for two things:

• Replying to people who contact the firm. If you submit a contact form, call, or text us, we may answer by text.
• Keeping clients informed. Case status updates, requests for documents or signatures, hearing and appointment reminders.

We do not send marketing texts, promotional offers, or newsletters. We do not text people who have not contacted the firm.

How you opt in

You give consent in one of these ways:

• Checking the SMS consent box on a contact form at rouzlaw.com. The box is optional and is never pre-checked.
• Sending us a text message first.
• Agreeing in writing in our engagement letter or intake paperwork.
• Telling us during a call or a consultation, which we then note in your file.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of hiring the firm or of receiving any service.

How to opt out

Reply STOP to any message from us. You will get one confirmation message and then nothing further. You can rejoin at any time by texting START or by asking us.

Frequency and cost

• Message frequency varies with your matter. An active case generates more messages than a first inquiry.
• Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge for the messages; your carrier may.
• Supported carriers include AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and most US carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your information

We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or your SMS consent with anyone. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. Our messaging provider carries the message on our instructions and may not use your number for its own purposes.

A word of caution about texting a lawyer

Text messages are not a secure channel. Anyone holding your phone can read them, and carriers keep records. Do not send anything by text that you would not want read by someone else. For anything sensitive, call us or ask for a secure link.

Texting the firm does not create an attorney-client relationship. Representation begins only when both sides sign a written engagement letter.
